Welcome to Wee Scholar

Hello everyone, and welcome to WeeScholar.com, a website devoted to teaching young children.  The authors of this website are teachers who have taught children between the ages of 2 and 8 for many years.  Now we are sharing what we have learned and taught with you, fellow teachers, ESL and kindergarten, and homeschoolers.

Here, you will find lesson plans on a variety of topics, as well as worksheets, felt board activities, arts and crafts and educational toy recommendations.  We have phonics lessons, Montessori activities (to encourage self-reliance) and Circle Time songs to sing with the kids and have fun.

We hope that you enjoy what you find here.  If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to drop us a line. J

First off, a little bit about us:

Krystal has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Toronto, and is working towards her master’s degree in Psychology.  She began teaching in China in 2011 and taught math, science, geography, and of course English. Krystal has made many different toys for her classrooms over the years, including felt books, felt board stories, and various dolls and plushies.  We’ll be posting about all of these in posts to come, so stay tuned!

Robert has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University, and Early Childhood Education certification from George Brown College.  He has been teaching since 2002 and has taught in Canada, Korea and China. His favorite subjects to teach are reading, writing and science!

We look forward to sharing what we have learned with you.
